I am not writing one, but am reading one... wanted to share a paragraph from the first chapter. Most of us have heard something like this and will agree with it. That being said, it jumped out at me... thought again of the possibilities of a church where the whole body takes the vision of the church and runs....
"When mutual ministry is emphasized and a system of shared ministry is developed, an amazing multiplication takes many forms-all of them significant. More persons are won to Christ. More believers are nurtured in faith. More service satisfaction is experienced by more believers. Healthy churches result. As we know, a kind of synergism of strength happens when a team of horses pull together: one can pull a full load, but two working together can pull the weight of five or six loads. Lay ministry is like that. It multiplies mission achievement for any church. It applies increased energy that helps make dreams and visions realities."

Greeting. The pain of making the necessary sacrifices always hurts more than you think it's going to. I know. It sucks. That being said, doing something seriously creative is one of the most amazing experiences one can have, in this or any other lifetime. If you can pull it off, it's worth it. Even if you don't end up pulling it off, you'll learn many incredible, magical, valuable things. It's NOT doing it when you know you full well you HAD the opportunity- that hurts FAR more than any failure.
I am from Bhutan and also now teach English, give true I wrote the following sentence: "Want to get yourself out of a bad situation and into a better one? A solid resume is the first step."
